Schüco Façade UCC 65 SG

Combines the high-quality appearance of an all-glass façade with the efficient construction of a high-performance unitised façade

Schüco Façade UCC 65 SG (Unitised Customised Construction) is a flexible and powerful modular system for unitised façades. The main difference between this system and special constructions is the system components approved by renowned test institutes. All other components can be tailored perfectly to the façade, around these components, on an individual project basis.

The Schüco UCC 65 SG unitised façade looks impressive on the outside with the expansive appearance of an all-glass façade. On the inside, its design is that of a unitised façade with narrow face widths of only 65 mm. With the Schüco AWS 114 windows series, large insert units are possible as projected top-hung or parallel-opening windows with vent weights of up to 250 kg. Construction with stepped insulating glazing ensures seamless integration into the façade. Particularly efficient fabrication and installation is assured due to the unitised construction.

PREVIEW SPECIFICATION

Schüco UCC 65 SG, thermally insulated, self-supporting, unitised aluminium façade system
As a self-supporting unitised façade with external structural glazing, without frame profiles which are visible from the outside, for unitised multi-storey façade constructions, load-bearing structure on the room side with 65 mm face width in the vertical unit joints and 75 mm in the horizontal unit joints.

Design features (façade load-bearing structure):
The load-bearing structure of the façade construction consists of right-angled, multi-chamber hollow profiles in unitised construction, using corner cleats with Schüco adhesive injection and bonding technology, mitre-cut, optionally with sash bars, inserted using T-cleats and seals with integral sealing channels for sealing the H-joints. The load-bearing profiles, basic depth 125 mm, are located on the room-side.
Max. dimensions 2700 x 3600 mm, unit weight up to 300 kg.

Coupling of units:
For unit coupling, 2-sided (side and top) inner and outer self-clamping coupling profiles must be inserted with EPDM gaskets in the frame profiles fitted with engagement grooves. The coupling joints must overlap: the vertical coupling profiles overlap the horizontal gasket profiles.
During installation of units, a continuous saddle gasket must be located outside, horizontally at the bottom, and sealed. Units are fitted with an EPDM centre gasket to take up tolerances around 3 sides on the outside, fabricated as a 3-sided gasket frame or used off the roll by the metre with gasket corners. This gasket must be inserted into a plastic glazing bead, likewise the saddle gasket described. The plastic glazing bead is clipped into the load-bearing structure. The continuous plastic glazing bead is colour-coated black (similar to RAL 9005).
The horizontal 21 mm wide butt joint, dimension between the glazing frame can support tolerances, e.g. as a result of ceiling movements, up to ± 10 mm.

Design features (fixed structural glazing with bonding of glazed unit directly on the colour-coated load-bearing structure):
The planning, measurement and design of the glazing must be in accordance with the guidelines for structural glazing, the regulations from the sealant suppliers and the EOTA guidelines.
The units must be glazed by the customer.
A plastic glazing bead is used all-round.
The suitability of the powder-coated / anodised load-bearing structure and plastic glazing bead with regard to surface adhesion must be agreed with the sealant supplier.

Design features (fixed structural glazing with bonding of a double glazed unit on an adapter profile anodised in E6/dark bronze in the load-bearing structure):
The planning, measurement and design of the glazing must be in accordance with the guidelines for structural glazing, the regulations from the sealant suppliers and the EOTA guidelines.
The units must be glazed by the customer.
A plastic glazing bead is used all-round.
Silicone adhesive must be used for load-bearing bonding on the adapter profile anodised in E6/dark bronze.
